Daniel Benvenuto Da Costa, DMD
Dr. Daniel Benvenuto was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. As a kid his hobbies included playing soccer, building legos, hiking and camping. Dr. Benvenuto attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. In 2022 he graduated with a bachelors degree of science with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. After his undergraduate education was complete, Dr. Benvenuto began dental school at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2026.

David Kop, DDS
Dr. David Kop was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, and derives his cultural influence from his Chinese, Filipino, Macanese, and Hawaiian upbringing. Dr. Kop went to Punahou School, (the same high school Barack Obama attended!) where he participated in Cross Country, Lacrosse, Track, Tennis, Theatre, JROTC, Orchestra, and earned his Eagle Scout award. He attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and served his country for 6 years in Space Systems Engineering and Airfield Logistics. Some of his Air Force memories include getting tear gassed, tased, solo-skydiving, launching 3 separate satellites into space and aiding in the humanitarian evacuation of the Diamond Princess cruise ship during the COVID-19 pandemic. During his time in service, he earned his pre-dental credits and received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Dr. Kop went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Utah, where he was Class President, District 10 Chief of Staff, and president of the Veteran and Military, Asian, and Special Care dentistry clubs. He is excited to start the next chapter of his life earning his Specialization as a Pediatric Dentist at the NYU-Langone Phoenix Residency!
Dr. Kop’s interest in dentistry began when his sister went to the hospital in the aftermath of a plane crash. Although many doctors cared for her that day, the person at the hospital that showed special care for her was a General Practice Resident, who then encouraged David to look into dentistry. As Dr. Kop continued his education, his interest in becoming a Pediatrician comes from his upbringing in Hawai’i and his last 4 years in Utah – places that have either never had or have recently banned fluoride in the water. Dr. Kop understands the importance of educating children, parents, and the public in dental concerns, and the crucial need of early intervention and treatment of children, especially those from healthcare deserts and low socioeconomic areas. He is confident that his education at NYU-Langone Health, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and especially at The Kids’ Dental Office of Phoenix will abundantly prepare him to treat any child that comes into his future office.
In his personal life, Dr. Kop recently married his high school sweetheart and partner of 13 years, Madi, this last March! He has the goal to visit every U.S. National Park one day. Currently, he’s been to 54 of the total 63 and spent his most recent school break on a road trip to visit 3 National Parks across the Alaskan highway system. Dr. Kop is a huge skier in the winter and loves exploring the mountains and the oceans of his home island of O’ahu. Over his D3 year, he completed three marathons and a triathlon within 4 months. In his spare time, he plays the violin, ukulele, and guitar, tries every restaurant he can, is a movie and tech enthusiast, and watches baseball. He is excited to cheer for his new hometown team of the Diamondbacks! Most recently, Dr. Kop has been selected to commission as the newest Captain and dentist in the Hawai’i Air National Guard, where he will continue his military service in his native state. David is exuberant for his new adventure in Arizona and can’t wait to make some new friends and help make some young teeth happier and healthier along the way!
